Sausage Tree Camp

Lower Zambezi

This luxurious camp gives guests a touch of opulence in the bush. Every booking comes with your very own private guide/vehicle/boat for all activities and a personal Muchinda (butler) for each room. This ensures guests have personalised service throughout their stay.

Privately owned and managed by Jason Mott who spends a lot of time in camp, every detail of the guest experience has been carefully thought through to guarantee a safari experience of a life-time in one of the most magnificent settings on the Lower Zambezi.

Located in the heart of the Lower Zambezi National park, overlooking an expanse of the mighty Zambezi River, channels and islands which team with wildlife.

The camp is centred in a game-rich and diverse ecosystem about 45-minute transfer from Jeki Airstrip, which is accessible by 30 minute flight from Lusaka. The airstrip transfer can be done as a combination of 15-min game-drive and a 30-minute speed boat ride to the camp.

This is an extreme 4X4 off-road challenge which raises money for conservation projects throughout Zambia.

In the wake of the Covid19 pandemic, they donated 20 ‘foot propelled’ hand washing stations to the Surrounding communities.
