There are just three stilted chalets at this exclusive camp, set on the South Luangwa riverbank beneath a soaring ebony grove. With a maximum of 6 guests at any given time, you are assured of a very personal and exclusive experience at this camp. The camp can only be booked on an exclusive use basis with a minimum of 4 people required.
The rooms all allow stunning views over the South Luangwa River, making it the ideal spot to enjoy a bit of game viewing from your magnificent four poster bed! Each chalet has outdoor bathrooms with a large shower and double vanities under the open sky.

Located in the exclusive southern sector of South Luangwa National Park overlooking the Luangwa River and the Chindeni Hills. Approximately 2 hours drive from Mfuwe Lodge.
There are 3 open-fronted thatched chalets on 2m high wooden stilts
Each chalet features:

Chamilandu has a hide overlooking the waterhole providing an excellent location for relaxing during siesta time or spending time in the photographer’s hide, getting ground-level photos of the animals visiting the waterhole.

Game Drives and Walking Safaris
Walking distance from Chindeni only, this is one of the longest direct walks. The camp has a large game viewing hide which is also perfect for lunches or lazing during the day and is surrounded by seven ox bow lagoons.
No children under 12 years at the Bushcamps unless a private camp is booked or a Private Guide and Vehicle.
As per National Parks’ regulations, children under 12 are not allowed on walking safaris.
There are no family rooms but the rooms are large enough to accommodate additional beds for parents wishing to share with children.
Chamilandu is a seasonal camp and operates from 7th June – 1st November
