Inclusive activities – privately guided game drives, walking safaris.  We offer 5 game drive vehicles for 10 suites thus ensuring a private  safari experience with no more than 4 people per vehicle.

Inclusive is transfers between South Luangwa lodges as well as the airport transfers.  Lion Camp offers a transfer from the airport in a closed air conditioned vehicle up to the Tribes Shop where guests will disembark, be offered a coffee/soft drink, and have an opportunity for a toilet stop.  Thereafter they will embark a game viewer and enter the park for their game drive transfer to the camp.

Community Projects include support to the Mkasanga School as well as the Hope Foundation supporting orphaned girl students

Lion Camp also has several projects on the go every year to benefit their closest community – the Mwanya Chiefdom. Some of the images below show some of the more recent projects.

FEEDING PROGRAM -  our local community being assisted with 50kg maize meals monthly during the Covid period Lion Camp Guide Mukupa with local school chatting to students about teenage sex and viral diseases COVID SCHOOL FEE SPONSORSHIP - Lion Camp have sponsored all the children from their local kingdom where 95% of their staff are from with school fees as there are so many people unemployed because of lodge closures ETHOS FARMER - A farmer with 10 children who the lodge sponsored with equipment such as a water tank and irrigation plus fertilizer and seed annually.  He grows and sells back to Lion Camp all the tasty fresh salads and veggies served to guests.

On-site water purifying plant, purifying borehole water to bottled water standards

On-site incinerator for waste processing.  ALL glass waste is transported to the Tribal Textiles glass project where their community project processes waste glass into functional products

ALL guest suites and staff accommodation has dedicated gas geysers to supply hot water and avoid the burning of wood to generate hot water

Specific Health & Safety Protocols have been designed to ensure a Covid free and safe environment for guests while on safari at Lion Camp.
